A Vision For Morocco

A DEVELOPMENT VISION FOR MOROCCO OblinGreen SARL is a Moroccan renewable-energy and infrastructure development company headquartered in Dakhla. Since 2020, the Oblin group has undertaken development and pre-feasibility work for an integrated renewable-energy, transmission, energy-storage, green-hydrogen and industrial-development programme in southern Morocco. The development concept brings together large-scale solar and wind generation, high-voltage transmission and grid interfaces, long-duration and battery energy storage, green hydrogen and ammonia production, renewable-energy manufacturing, desalination, port and logistics infrastructure, workforce development and regional economic growth. Development iterations have included two proposed 15 GW solar and wind generation zones at Dakhla and Laayoune, 225/60 kV and 400 kV grid interfaces, high-voltage substations and switch stations, a proposed 532 km high-voltage transmission component, utility-scale storage, renewable-energy manufacturing and a proposed Dakhla-Tangier green-hydrogen infrastructure corridor. The broader OblinGreen masterplan has evolved as technical, commercial and strategic opportunities have developed, with earlier and later configurations considering different generation, manufacturing and storage capacities. PROJECT STATUS (June 2026) The OblinGreen Morocco programme remains at development stage. Project concepts, capacities, layouts, investment estimates and timelines are indicative and have evolved through successive development iterations. OblinGreen does not represent the programme as financed, finally approved, under construction or commissioned. Progression remains subject to technical development, governmental and regulatory approvals, land arrangements, environmental assessment, financing, commercial agreements and other required project-development milestones.
